Hebei Kangtai Pharmaceutical factory was established in February 1986 and located inMengcun Hui Autonomous County, Cangzhou city, Hebei Province, China, with factory area of 33,300 square meters. It was changed into joint-stock enterprise in June 2003 and renamed as Hebei Kangtai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
New workshops were built in 2004, such as, solid agent production workshop, active pharmaceutical ingredient workshop and experiment workshop. Total building area occupies 13,800 square meters, with 3,180 square meters of clean area and 48 sets of advanced equipments, 620 square meters of laboratory and 82 sets of testing instruments. National CMP certification was given on 26th August 2004 and was passed through national verification again in 2009. It produces tablets, granules, capsules and active pharmaceutical ingredients with 31 registered varieties. It keeps a consecutive growth rate of 30% in 2006. There are 260 employees in Hebei Kangtai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, 26% of which are technologists and 15% of which have senior technical titles. A lot of advanced equipments are introduced with annual production capability of 50 billion tablets, 20 billion capsules and 30 billion bags of granule. Academic exchanges are made among several domestic Science and Technological Institutes and HebeiKangtai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, which has established long term cooperation partnership with Tianjin University. Research and development of new products are undertaken by the help of huge science and technology team consisting of professors, researchers, licensed pharmacists and whole set of pharmaceutical production system with core technology. The new series of products, being researched and developed and to be produced in future are as follows: Atorvastatin Calcium, Bisacodyl, ClopidogrelHydrogen Sulfate, Saxagliptin, Gliquidone, Octacosanol and Fomepizole etc.
Perfect marketing network and long-term strategic relationship are established with tens of domestic pharmaceutical enterprises. Innovation for development is the aim of company growth. Active pharmaceutical ingredients workshop and traditional medicine extraction workshop were expanded in 2009 and got national GMP certification in 2010. Sufficient dynamic power is provided by newly established R&D center for biotechnology and new medicine. R&D center for new medicine is actively declaring provincial one and participates provincial and national pharmaceutical projects.
